Want a nice chuck of land where you can get out into nature and not be found? :) This 2.5 acre parcel is off Lake Harney Road in Osteen in a subdivision called Lake Harney Ranchettes. The roads leading to this property are in extremely rough condition and will likely require a good four wheel drive vehicle. Mainly because of the road situation, the lots in this area cannot be built on at this time. Perhaps that will change at some point if the roads are improved and as development gets closer. Volusia County will not issue building permits. Aerial views of the area show that there are several "camps" in the area. I am guessing the owners decided nobody is going out there to complain or would even be able to find them. I have not personally been to this property, but a few years ago I was in this subdivision. I can't say what is the best way to access this property today, but I am guessing there could be three options. 1) Via Lake Harney Road and then Underhill Branch Road, 2) Via Lake Harney Road all the way to the south end where it turns into Buck Run or 3) Through the Lake Harney Woods subdivision. I have no doubt that getting to the property, especially the first time, will be a challenge, but the many camp owners in the area prove it is doable. Nevertheless, I am pricing it as if there was no access just so I do not have to listen to complaints about muddy tires, a furious wife because you got lost or stuck, etc! There are extensive, deeded, legal easements for Right of Way that absolutely guarantee legal access to this property. With the way things are going in the country today, and the inevitable turn towards more craziness come election time, this is a great time to find that secret "bugout" spot for complete and total privacy. OR... also consider it a great buy and hold investment.
